How Delegate Service Works

The delegate system ensures every AA group has a voice in Central Service Office operations and decisions.

Group Selection

Your AA group selects you as their Central Service Delegate during a group conscience meeting.

Quarterly Meetings

Attend delegate meetings held four times per year as prescribed in the Plan of Procedure.

Represent Your Group

Bring your group's suggestions, opinions, and comments to delegate meetings.

Vote on Decisions

Cast one vote on all matters requiring group conscience decisions that affect AA Victoria.

Attend Delegate Meetings

Participate in quarterly business meetings to stay informed and contribute to decisions

Regular attendance helps you become a more informed voter and better representative for your group.

Encourage Participation

Help achieve quorum by encouraging other groups to send delegates

Effective delegate meetings need at least one-third of affiliated groups represented.
